There we are. Marie and Zack. And our stripey shirts.
I've been dating Zack for three years. We went to the same high school and started dating when I was a senior and Zack was a junior. It was one of those classic love stories - boy and girl are aware of each other for three years but never speak to one another, boy and girl finally begin to interact during various band events (we were both huge band geeks), boy invites girl to play GoldenEye 007 for N64 at his house, girl awkwardly asks boy to the Snowcoming dance, boy awkwardly asks girl to be his girlfriend.
And here we are, still together three years later, going to the same college and studying Music Industry Management because we're still band geeks. Zack is actually a cool band geek though, one that plays guitar and is in a rock band. He'll be spending the upcoming summer at a school of lutherie, learning how to build and repair guitars.
This leads me to the purpose of this blog. One of my biggest hobbies is cooking, and I love to prepare meals for Zack and myself to eat together. Currently, the boy has close to zero culinary skills. I'm concerned. With his upcoming internship, Zack is going to be living on his own and feeding himself and I'm afraid that might translate into a 3-month Spaghettios diet. In an effort to avoid this fate, this blog is going to feature foods that Zack enjoys with recipes that he'll (hopefully) be able to follow.
This blog won't be about gourmet recipes, fancy ingredients, or show-stopping meals; this blog will feature delicious, simple, boyfriend approved food, or as I like to call them, Zack snacks.
